It is now possible to select a difficulty when opening an instanced dungeon.
Four difficulties are available:
Story Mode: This difficulty disables the ability to drop items. In exchange, it lowers the Defense, Attack, and Attack Speed of monsters by a huge amount, as well as the Item Level requirement. This difficulty is exclusive to Shade's Realm & Razgul's Crypt.
Normal: This difficulty is the same difficulty as what previously existed. No changes are applied to balance, drop rate, or Item Level requirement.
Hard: This difficulty increases the drop rate and the rarity of dropped items. In exchange, it highers the Defense, Attack, and Haste of monsters by a decent amount, as well as the Item Level requirement. This difficulty only exists on dungeons dropping exclusive equipment.
Expert: This difficulty further increases the drop rate and rarity of dropped items. In exchange, it highers the Defense, Attack, and Haste of monsters by a very high amount, as well as the Item Level requirement. This difficulty only exists on endgame dungeons dropping exclusive equipment.
Please note that all of the modifiers will be displayed when attempting to open an instance, for clarity.
Additionally, please note that Time Trials Achievements, as well as Dungeon Leaderboards, will only be enabled for some difficulties of each dungeon.
The following changes have been applied along with the addition of Dungeon Difficulties:
Shade's Realm:
Minimum Item Level reduced from 125 to 100.
"Story Mode" difficulty has been introduced.
"Normal" difficulty's Minimum Item Level has been set to 125.
Razgul's Crypt:
Minimum Item Level reduced from 140 to 120.
"Story Mode" difficulty has been introduced.
"Normal" difficulty's Minimum Item Level has been set to 140.
All difficulty modifiers, including the HP increase from having more members, will now be applied to monsters spawned by other monsters.
The previous "Difficulty" parameter has been renamed to "Member Amount" as it is more accurate and less confusing.
The required Item Level for "Abandoned Factory" has been lowered from 190 to 170. The HP and Attack of Masquerpets has been adjusted.
General Changes
The Emblem Crates in the Red Chips store have been exchanged for Emblem Choice Boxes.
The recipes to exchange locked emblems will remain until the next patch in order to give some time for players to re-roll their emblems if need be.
The chance of getting higher quality Talent Gems from Talent Gem Crates has been increased.
The drop rate for Medium/High Talent Gem Crates from the Ethereal Plains has been increased.
Multiple checkpoints have been added to the Ethereal Plains.
The minimaps for Ethereal Plains and Abandoned Factory have been corrected.
The following updates have been applied to the Raised Pet System:
Upon breeding 2 pets, the minimum amount of stars obtained has been raised by 1.
Common Net: Catch Rate increased from 5% to 16%.
Sturdy Net: Catch Rate increased from 25% to 40%.
The Pet Tamer no longer sells Pet Food. Instead, he now sells Common Nets for the price of 100,000 Penyas.
Several Alchemy recipes have been added to convert materials from mid-game dungeons into Aetherial Essence, in order to make acquiring it a little easier.
Aetherial Essence has been added to the Red Chips store, at the price of 50 Red Chips each.
Aetherial Essence has been added to the drop table of all Spiritual Forest bosses.
The EXP curve for Pets has been updated, increasing the EXP required at lower levels for a pet to level up. The EXP required at higher levels remains unchanged.
It is now possible to feed a Pet that has reached Max Level in order to activate the Pet Grace.
The Pet Grace will grant a 1 hour long buff, whose stats are based off of the rarity of the Pet:
1 Star: +5 All Stats.
2 Stars: +10 All Stats.
3 Stars: +15 All Stats, +3% HP.
4 Stars: +20 All Stats, +5% HP.
5 Stars: +25 All Stats, +8% HP, +5% Attack.
Upon activating this, the Pet's EXP will go back down to 0%.
The "Auto-Feed" feature is disabled for this effect.
The Pet Grace will automatically be removed when entering a PvP area.
Balance Changes
The following changes were applied to instanced dungeons in order to facilitate early-game progression:
The Serpent's Lair:
Worm Veduque: HP and Attack decreased.
Worm Veduque: Amount of monsters decreased from 5 to 3.
The Clown's Refuge:
Ivillis Dandysher: HP and Attack decreased.
Ivillis Leanes: Attack slightly decreased.
Crystal Chamber:
Hazardous Trippilies (both kinds): HP and Attack decreased.
Hazardous Trippilies (both kinds): Amount of monsters decreased from 3 to 2.
Crystal Golem: HP decreased.
Shade's Realm:
The Attack of Shade's Illusions has been reduced.
Shade's Illusions are now less likely to all attack at the same time during Act 2.
Magical Strike: Slow reduced from 50% to 20%.
Sanctum: No longer affects controls, instead pushes characters away with a fixed force.
Shade's Touch: Slow reduced from 3% per stack to 2% per stack.
Leren Cavern:
Big Muscle: Attack decreased.
Fantasy Grotto:
Krrr: Attack decreased.
Moldy Cave:
Mushmoot: Attack decreased.
The following changes were applied to instanced dungeons in order to make Hard & Expert difficulties feel more appropriate:
Abandoned Factory:
Rogue Mining Machinery: Seismic Pull - Detonation delay reduced from 3 seconds to 2.5 seconds.
The Abyss
Zeraim, The Stone Guardian: Chasing Rocks - Now requires the boss to fully cast the attack.
Lord of the Abyss: Number Choice - Now requires the boss to fully cast the attack.
Talent Gem Balance Changes
Opportunity
Bonus damage reduced from 100% to 80%.
Aftermath
Damage required increased from 1000% to 2000% of Attack.
Primal Rage
Duration increased from 5s/8s/10s to 12s/16s/20s.
Finales Funkeln
Damage Multiplier increased from 1.0 to 4.0.
Cooldown decreased from 30s to 18s.
Consecutive Normal Punches
Amount of non-critical hits required to activate reduced from 5 to 3.
Absolute Nihility
Haste Cap bonus increased from 40% to 500%.
Friendship Bond
Will now apply for targeted buffs. Non-targeted buffs will also grant the bond to self.
Defense increased from 200 to 500.
Now additionally grants 250 Attack.
Duration increased from 10s to 20s.
Critical Chain
The duration of the first 5 stacks has been increased. The duration decreases with the amount of stacks, from 2 seconds at 1 stack to 1 second at 5 stacks.
Aibatt Master
No longer random.
Now has a cooldown of 18 seconds.
Faster than Light
Now also increases Haste by 40%.
Bug Fixes
Corrected an issue causing the teleportation point from Madrigal to the Shrine of Life to not work as intended.
Corrected several issues that were caused by the Flaris continent not being initialized properly. Issues included the Map Window not opening at the correct location, the Repeatable Missions not being automatically pinned, and more.
Corrected an issue causing the Final Damage stat to not apply properly for some attacks.
Corrected an issue causing players to sometimes fall through the spawn platform in the Emerald Battlegrounds.
Corrected an interaction causing the Death by All Means gem to apply in cases where it shouldn't.
Corrected an issue where the model viewer's preview model's default stance was not initialized properly when the player was using a Blade/Slayer weapon.
Corrected an issue where Finales Funkeln's lasers were not being sent from the correct position.
Corrected an issue causing the last frame of some animations to play twice.
